Get Social!

Fun and Fellowship Opportunities in Every Corner

MWPC has lots of ways to get to know thy neighbors– no matter the age or interest!  The Care Team organizes plenty of events and activities, but check out a few more possibilities below:

Common Grounds Fellowshipcommongroudns

Take time to connect before and after worship on Sundays!  Common Grounds provides a moment to catch up with friends and enjoy coffee, tea, and juices and a bagel.  Common Grounds friends are there for you Sundays from 9 to 11 am.

New England Club Worship

MWPC offers worship at the New England Club senior living facility on the first, third, and fifth Sundays (when there is one) each month at 4 pm.   Meet up in the NEC Chapel if you’re interested.

Softball Teamschuch softball

MWPC Blue and Red teams take to the field every Spring to play against other local community church teams.  Fun is more important than actual skill, thankfully!  MWPC plays Monday evenings April through mid August.

As of 2016, the Mariners group is celebrating its 35th anniversary here at MWPC!  The Mariners group has 49 members who are active in church and community activities.  The group maintains an active annual calendar of social and educational events open to all.

Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and and Venture Crew

MWPC has sponsored Boy Scout Troop 112 for over 70 years.  In 2007, the troop launched Venture Crew, a program for girls, 14-21 years old.  Over 40 adult leaders are focused on making a difference in the lives of over 100 young men and women!l  Contact Gene O’Rourke for more information.
